        Verdict

        Scrapper Smith has been in better form of late but he's gone back up in the weights despite not winning. Good Morning Star has been competing in better company and has been raised no less than 24lb since winning the Cheshire Oaks back in May and stablemate Party Line couldn't cope with a 7lb rise at Catterick last time. Lieutenant Kojak is another firmly in the handicappers grip but Lady Kashaan could go well off a featherweight on the back of her second at Ayr last week. SURAJ was no match for the likes of Mount Athos in the Silver Cup at York last time but won nicely at Doncaster before that and Michael Bell's Galileo colt gets the vote with scope for further progress.
