Red Icon caught the eye on debut and can come good at the second time of asking here, with Funseeker, Armure and Kayflaa others considered. Red Icon steps up to a mile after a 7f Lingfield debut that saw her run green towards the outside for much of the way before still being good enough to finish within a length of the winner. Her pedigree suggests that she will relish the step up in trip and so she gets the nod. Funseeker makes her debut for Mark Johnston and is respected. She is probably more likely to show her best at three and on faster ground so looks best watched today unless the market speaks strongly otherwise. Armure has a definite chance now stepped up and being from stock who relish juice in the ground, while Kayflaaa is an interesting debutante who has a good pedigree, but who may not be seen to best effect on this going first up. Notebooks at the ready then, but for today the suggestion is Red Icon.
