Verdict

Last month's Yarmouth winner Duke Of Destiny has yet to tackle further than a mile and The Scuttler was well beaten on his only previous attempt at today's distance. Bold Duke scored over 1m2f at Chepstow last time but in testing ground and Rex Whistler is preferred having finished third over track and trip in June. BATGIRL failed to get involved at Goodwood last time but had earlier gone very close at Yarmouth and she gets a speculative vote in a wide-open affair racing off the same mark.
