MCCREERY prevented Alkwan from landing a hat-trick when successful at Sandown earlier in the month. He scored by three lengths on that occasion and may well be up to defying a hike in the weights making only his fourth appearance. Mont Ras posted a better effort at Carlisle having slipped down the weights and Penitent began the season on a 10lb higher mark, though has won just the once since 2013. Wilde Inspiration ran well in this grade last time but Woody Bay faces a much more difficult task after landing a double with a win at Catterick. Fruit Pastille remains 6lb higher than when recording last year's hat-trick but Dancetrack is less exposed and could go well.
