In depth

Verdict

ATTY PERSSE and Weekender are both entered in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at next month’s Royal Ascot. The former remains unbeaten having won the Esher Cup Handicap at Sandown on his reappearance and may come out best on this occasion. The latter won his maiden at Chelmsford last month beating a subsequent winner and there should be plenty more to come from him while Total Star was placed at the latter track on his recent comeback. Laraaib made a winning start at Chepstow three weeks ago and and Mister Belvedere could also go well.
