Wannabe Posh has solid claims and is taken to outgun Abhisheka, Maroussies Wings and Mango Mischief. Wannabe Posh had the misfortune to find one too good on each of her last three outings in 2006, but was produced fit and ready to make amends on her return to action at Newmarket three weeks ago. John Dunlop's filly had been held off lower marks in the past, but made light of her new rating, after which connections toyed with the idea of finding some black type abroad. Instead, she has been geared up to land this Listed prize, and recent homework has been most encouraging. Abhisheka lacked a turn of foot on her return in Group 3 company behind Echelon at Newmarket, and now tries today's near 12-furlong trip for the first time. Being a full-sister to the Derby winner Lammtarra, that should not pose a problem, and this slight drop in grade makes her the main threat. Maroussies Wings captured a Group 3 in France last August so is capable, and she will come on a bundle for her reappearance at York nine days ago, while Mango Mischief is another that has kept good company, but she has not won for two years, and it is her former stablemate Wannabe Posh that is the pick.
