Eisteddfod is in tremendous form and is fancied to land a four-timer here, with Commando Scott and Solar Power the main dangers. There are a number of in-form horses in this field, but none more so than Paul Cole's filly, who was recording her fourth win from just six career starts when landing the Ayr Silver Cup last weekend. Commando Scott is seven pounds higher than when winning at Doncaster in July, but likes soft ground and has decent place claims. So does James Fanshawe's Solar Power, who stayed on strongly to win on fast ground over course and distance last time, but is also effective on this surface and may give the selection most to do. The going puts us off the progressive Bo McGinty and Jilly Why, but Eisteddfod is a very progressive folly who recorded a fast time at Ayr and is still unexposed in handicap grade.
