      Verdict

      VEDUTE (NAP) finished just behind subsequent Windsor Castle winner Tactical when fourth at Newmarket on his debut. That looks stronger form than Fountain Cross’ second at Goodwood and Cieren Fallon takes 3lb off the selection’s back today. Grey Sparkle has plenty of improving to do but a couple of the newcomers should be noted given Line Of Departure is a half-brother to several winner including last week’s Commonwealth Cup hero Golden Horde, while Darvel is out of a winner of the Queen Mary and cost 380,000gns.
