In depth

Verdict

On a line through Starkat, DREAM OF OLWYN might just have the edge over Rare Malt. The pair of them have finished behind Starkat in recent times and James Given's mare showed that she is coming back into form when she made the frame at Yarmouth last week. Back on a handy mark she can return to winning ways on ground that suits. Rare Malt is another mudlark who can go better dropped back to this trip, while Oriental Girl is in cracking form but has never won on ground slower than good to soft and with another 6lb rise looks worth taking on. Strategic Mission is another with claims from an increasingly competitive mark, though we'll side with Dream Of Olwyn. (Jonathan Doidge)
