In depth

Verdict

Sapphire Dream has a bit of experience, enough to make her the selection over a host of interesting newcomers including Wasalat, Easy Feeling and Sukuma. Sapphire Dream, a daughter of the speedy Mind Games, has finished runner-up in both starts to date, at Pontefract and Chester. She was ahead of Beaver Patrol on the Roodye and that form was made to look quite good when the latter chased home Blue Dakota at Windsor. Alan Bailey will therefore be very disappointed if his filly is not bang in the firing line at the finish. Mick Channon's youngsters are not making an impression first time out this term, so Wasalot will probably need the run, as will Sukuma from Andrew Balding's yard. In contrast, Richard Hannon has his juveniles plenty sharp enough, so Easy Feeling, a daughter of Night Shift who holds an entry in the Weatherbys Super Sprint, should not be under estimated. With two runs under her belt though, Sapphire Dream should take all the beating.
