Newtide had a racecourse gallop alongside more illustrious stable companion Vindication earlier this week and that will have blown away a few cobwebs. He won a Grade 2 novice event at Wetherby in February before failing to fire in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. Bob Mahler never travelled at Cheltenham last month and was pulled up but is better than that. Pop Rockstar just failed to catch Court Dreaming at Carlisle on his reappearance and will be fancied to go one better and Claud And Goldie only weakened at the last when second to Some Chaos at Kelso. DEISE ABA took well to fences last season. He was a couple of lengths behind Bob Mahler at Cheltenham in March but is better off at the weights and probably has more scope.
