Verdict

Paul Nicholls has won two of the three renewals and VIRAK looks capable of adding to the tally. The latter beat subsequent winner Deputy Dan at Fontwell last month and there should be plenty more to come from him over fences. Golden Hoof is another to consider having won at Aintree last time and he's just preferred to Monkey Kingdom, who unseated after a blunder at Ascot recently but ran well at Chepstow earlier. The remainder look up against it unless chasing newcomer Grand Vision runs up to the same level of his form over hurdles.
