Dawn Gale has solid claims with a 7lb claimer taking over the reins after her latest second at Newmarket with a below par Sugar Hiccup well beaten but CAPE RISING is just preferred. She also finished runner-up last time when finding Reem Star too good at Ayr in a more competitive handicap than this and Alan Swinbank's mare has plenty of scope for further improvement. Jamarjo needed a longer trip and soft ground to return to winning ways at Doncaster last week while Sohcahtoa went close yet again on his latest start but still hasn't won a race since 2008. Gordonsville finished last on his reappearance but is much better than that and is not out of this on his best form.
