Another impossible-looking handicap but Ben Pauling appears to hold a strong hand with both of his runners partnered by useful conditionals. Danny McMenamin’s mount Creep Desbois had been chasing prior to his distant second at Southwell, however, so SKIDOOSH looks the one to be on. He never got competitive when favourite at Newbury last time but that wasn’t his true running as he’d earlier won well at Doncaster when Court Liability was pulled up. Trixster has not run a bad race all season and it will be a surprise if he’s not in the firing-line again but Boreham Bill has proved hard to place since winning at Southwell in February of last year. Faithful Mount has been knocking on the door so also warrants a mention along with Django Django, No Hiding Place and Diamond Fort.
