In depth

Verdict

A wide open bumper rounds off proceedings. Cloudy Grey was a good winner at Hereford last time out when defeating Spud One. The gelding from the Emma Lavelle made all the running on that occasion and stayed on well to score in the style of a good horse. However the six-year-old may struggle under his penalty with lots of well bred unxposed sorts in the field. Ashleybank Hose is from a yard that has a good record in this sphere. This Lord Americo gelding is out of a Deep Run mare and any market confidence could be significant. Tom Fruit was a good third on his debut in a Doncaster bumper won by Loopy Linda. The gelding from the Tim Easterby yard is sure to improve for that experience and has definite place claims. Generals Lastand won well on his debut under similar conditions, but again his penalty may catch him out. Gaye Dream was a fair fifth on his debut in a fair bumper at Warwick won by Classic Native. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and is another worthy of consideration. Patricksnineteeth is from a top yard that is beginning to hit form. This Mister Lord gelding is sure to no his job and he could run well at a big price. King Dante showed a modicum of ability on his debut when eighth. However this Kings ride gelding is bred to do better over further in time. Medici is also well bred from a top yard and is worth a cautionary look in the market.
