Verdict

Impressive Act made a promising debut at York but was very disappointing when odds-on at Leicester where he found nothing when headed. IRISH NECTAR was very green at Hamiliton where he didn't get going until too late over the minimum. That experience and today's longer trip can see him off the mark as White Christmas was soon beaten at Newmarket after finishing last of three on his debut there. Purosangue went for £125,000 at the Breeze-up and wouldn't need to be a world-beater to make a successful debut.
