MINCE looked ahead of the handicapper when scoring by five lengths on her handicap bow at Pontefract last week. She's due to go up 11lb in the future so today's 6lb penalty looks lenient if she handles the going. Ballesteros also carries a penalty for his recent win at Windsor but will need to improve again to follow up, while Planet I T has claims having won his maiden at Kempton in good style last month. Chooseday drops back a furlong after going close at Ayr recently, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem in the prevailing ground, while it would be no surprise to see a better effort from Impassive.
