Verdict

Wootton's Jewel showed good speed when third on debut at Chester and finished more than two lengths ahead of Dufresne. Cestrian Spirit, a half-brother to two winners, is one of several interesting newcomers. Magico is also a half-brother to two winners and Marco Botti’s two-year-olds are always worth as second look on this course but REMAADD is a half-brother to four winners with all of them trained by William Haggas so he might be the one to be on. Alshinfarah made a winning debut over the trip at Doncaster so is respected along with Grand Karat, who ran green when fifth at Sandown and will know more today.
