        Verdict

        Great Park won at Newcastle and Newmarket in his first season and should be capable of more this year. Steal The Scene is an improving sort judged on his victory at Leicester, though was almost six lengths behind Great Park at HQ in October and was also well beaten by Best Endeavour at Kempton earlier. The latter hasn't quite recaptured his best form so far this year and Darrington has also been largely disappointing but Bartholomew Fair should find this easier than the Listed race he contested on his reappearance at Lingfield. Soft ground didn't suit PLEIADES at Chester and he'd needed his first run of the season at Beverley. If the headgear has the desired effect, he could recoup losses today.
