Winning Spirit is taken to land this maiden with Blue Echo and Su Doku rated as the main dangers. The selection did not handle the track at Brighton last time and was squeezed for room but still almost got his head in front. He finished a narrow second behind Johannesburg Jack and with nominal improvement today this colt from the Jeremy Noseda yard should be able to get his head in front at the third attempt. Blue Echo is a well-bred filly and her stable have got to be respected in these type of events. If the market vibes are positive then she would have to enter calculations. Su Doku ran well after losing 3L at the start on her racecourse debut at Sandown and if she gets off on terms today then she could go close. Mick Channon's string are beginning to find their form so Part-Timer should not be dismissed lightly, but for the winner we will stick with the proven form of Winning Spirit.
