Mormeatmic has won his last two starts but has more to do under a penalty for his latest success at Ayr and Mick Easterby's gelding may be booked for a place at best so preference is for Toy Top, who gets the vote ahead of Welcome Approach. The last mentioned has run well in all three starts this term and can be expected to be thereabouts again but may, judged by his latest start, just be in the grip of the handicapper now. Gwilym is relatively lightly raced and may be open to improvement but needs to if he is to trouble the judge and of more interest may be Blazing Heights who looks to be running into a bit of form right now. Toy Top has been the model of consistency this term though and lost no caste in defeat behind Moremeatmic at Ayr last time on ground that may not have been quick enough for him. The Michael Dods-trained gelding is taken to reverse the form at the revised weights on this faster surface.
