Verdict

GLOBAL GIANT beat Extra Elusive with Fox Tal further behind when landing a Listed race over today’s trip at Newbury. Another bold bid is expected from the Gosden charge given this looks no tougher. Zaaki has every chance at the weights but has done all his winning over shorter trips so far including last year’s Group 3 Strensall Stakes at York while Certain Lad finished runner-up in the John Smith’s Cup at York last month and could also go well. the selection’s stablemate Crossed Baton struggled in soft going on his reappearance though the Listed winner is still preferred to Morisco of the remainder.
