Verdict

Nottingham winner Alpine Affair failed to cope with a penalty when only third at Ascot last time. This is easier but he's been raised a further 6lb and LADY DESIRE can take advantage. She won a shade cosily at Hamilton despite showing her inexperience and a couple of winners have come out of the race. Maiden winner Polar Vortex never looked like hanging on when attempting to make all at Doncaster last time but she's still preferred to the remainder who have some catching up to do to figure in the finish.
