        Verdict

        Musselburgh winner Merchant of Dubai failed to follow-up when second over track and trip last time but did finish a couple of lengths ahead of Kiamba Bay. Albonny recorded a hat-trick of wins over 2m before a below par effort over today's trip at Sandown while Silver Samba steps up in distance after a recent victory over 1m4f at Chepstow. Diamond Penny has a shout off his current mark but another chance goes to SPICE FAIR, who has looked high enough in the weights so far this season but may come good in this with the help of an apprentice's 5lb allowance.
