Ladronne got outpaced over a shorter trip at Wetherby last month and is sure to be prominent. Enqarde likes it here and was second in this last year when 10lb higher in the weights. Frenchy Du Large was only beaten a length at Taunton off this mark two runs ago but all of Tide Times’ wins over fences have come at Ludlow. Only a length separated Sam Barton and Neon Moon at Newbury last month but the latter doesn’t appear to find much when coming off the bridle. Tim Pat was pulled up in the Grand National Trial here last time but was second at Doncaster prior to that and won the Tim Molony here last year. Mucho Mas beat Feivel at Sandown and is still on an upward curve but JEFFERY’S CROSS gets 17lb and is very much the eye-catcher in this. The bottom weight is unexposed over fences and connections seem to think his future lies over trips like this.
