Verdict
Fair Ranger overcame a tardy start to finish third over 5f at Doncaster on his debut. He looks sure to be thereabouts but MAWFOOR is preferred. The latter went close to returning a shock 33/1 winner when finding only one too good on his introduction at Nottingham but Brian Meehan's colt is likely to start near the head of the market today and can open his account. Dream And Search could well improve past Donny Rover on only his second start but breeding suggests the newcomers Safety Check and Haayil will come into their own over longer trips.
