Verdict
The Eaglehaslanded has made giant strides in recent weeks but the handicapper may have caught up with him as he's gone up 10lb since scoring at Warwick. Minella Daddy catches the eye near the foot of the weights as he was far from disgraced in a Grade 3 at Aintree and is lightly-raced, though quicker going is a concern. David Pipe won this in 2014 and had last year's second so Taj Badalandabad and Dell' Arca warrant a second look. Tom Scudamore is sticking with the latter, who is undoubtedly well treated at present but had every chance when only fourth at Sandown last month. Princeton Royale is fancied to be in the frame again and Laurium is preferred to stablemate Hunters Hoof. Brother Tedd can get involved, despite his big weight, but we'll take the chance that a further step up in trip will suit ZARIB as he made Matorico pull out all the stops on his first try over 2m4f at Cheltenham and this is a less demanding track.
