In depth

Verdict

Niblawi stayed 1m4f on the Flat and won twice so probably has every chance of making a winning start over hurdles but JOKE DANCER (NAP) caught the eye, despite being a little keen, when second at Newcastle. He’ll need to settle better to last home on this surface but just gets the nod ahead of Venetia Williams’ Warwick bumper winner Shivermetimbers. Silk Or Scarlet needs more and neither of the other pair make much appeal.
