In depth

Verdict

OH HERBERTS REIGN missed the break in what looked a decent contest at Salisbury on his second start but did make late headway and has leading claims in this if getting away on terms. Spacer was only beaten a head over 6f here on debut while King Of York was fourth over track and trip. St Andrew's Castle was a surprise winner at Ayr, despite running green, but may struggle under a penalty with Newbury third El Hibri more interesting. Amor Vincit Omnia is another likely improver but Gangway will likely be taking the nursery route in the near future.
