Verdict

MOUNTAIN PEAK (NAP) concedes weight all round but looked on the upgrade at Leicester when making all for an impressive success. He drops down to the minimum trip for the first time in ten starts but is a speedy sort who shouldn't be inconvenienced on ground to suit. Brandy Station is the only other winner in the field but that came on his second start over a year ago and he's finished last on three of four starts since being gelded. Palmer is 0-13 but he has shown enough in ordinary sprints since joining this yard to suggest he's the prime threat, especially as he's inching slowly but steadily down the weights. Q Twenty Boy is also respected after a much-improved effort at Windsor latest on what was just a fourth start in public and should progress again.
