Verdict

A chance is taken that AMBIVALENT will handle the soft ground as she returned a five length winner on her handicap bow at Nottingham last month. The handicapper took a dim view and has raised her 13lb but there should be plenty more to come on only her second start of the season and her trainer won last year's renewal. Tamarrud is also unexposed after a third on soft ground at Pontefract and should be in the mix but the going is a worry for May's C&D winner Elspeth's Boy. Regal Swain looks a bigger threat on his latest close-up third at York and Angel Gabrial has been in better form of late.
