This won't be the best bumper staged at the track this winter and LAST OF THE BUNCH is possibly capable of doing what many find beyond them in defying a penalty to follow up, while Just For Jean and Sure Josie Sure are considered. The selection was not stopping when a little awkward in winning at Carlisle first time this season, when the ground was fast. Even so, pedigree suggests that she should be able to handle this ground and she may well find enough improvement to add another win to her CV. Just For Jean is a nicely bred filly by Presenting, and from a good family of stayers who acted with cut in the ground. Given her yard's good record with its females, and in these contests, she is much respected on debut. Sure Josie Sure appears to handle cut well enough if her own debut is anything to go by, and there will probably be more to come from David Pipe's four-year-old, who is today partnered by Tony McCoy. Caprysse is an interesting debutant for Ferdy Murphy, hailing from France and related to numerous winners across the channel, and market support would be interesting. Nothing else makes serious appeal and Last Of The Bunch is taken to defy her penalty.
