In depth

Verdict

Vince Le Prince was evidently unfancied on debut at Redcar but he made no mistake on that occasion and must be respected despite the imposition of a 7lb penalty for that success. Westerton was easy in the market on debut at Doncaster but narrow preference here is for VENETIAN despite suffering two defeats at short odds. He is closely related to a winner over further and David Probert is riding with plenty of confidence at present. Pol Roger was just ahead of him at Redcar but the Johnston runner appears capable of turning that thin margin around tonight.
