Verdict
The return to this trip should not be a problem for TOMBI, who can get the better of Icelandic and Taqdeyr. The selection has scored three times over 6f, yet has been tried over both 5f and 7f in each of his last three starts. His reappearance at York showed that he retains plenty of ability and with the ground to suit he looks to have a leading chance. Icelandic, on the other hand, would want plenty of pace on here to bring his undoubted stamina into play. Although he has won over this trip, he is better over further and the ground might be too quick for him. Taqdeyr has not won in three tries on turf but was not disgraced last time, although the trip is a potential problem for him too. Doncaster Rover went well here in Listed company last time and at the weights has to be considered a major player if handling ground this quick, while Instalment is better than that run at Ascot last time and can get involved. Tombi is taken to score.
