    Verdict

Golden Apollo came right back to form when runner-up in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon last month but we’re inclined to take a chance on Tim Easterby’s supposed second string MANIGORDO, who was only fifth at Ripon but raced on the unfavoured far side and finished clear of that group. Embour looks held on the form book and Sandown winner Be Proud carries a penalty but Edraak has been in good form at Windsor and the three-year-old Mitrosonfire is seeking a fifth win in seven starts.
