Verdict

RUNNING BACK had excuses in a Goodwood nursery five weeks ago. A repeat of his two previous runs would make him the one to beat in this ahead of Chelmsford third Gosnay Gold. Skibo Castle is surely better than he showed at Goodwood and there are plenty of newcomers worth a market check, including the £110,000 yearling Hey Mr who is speedily bred, and Tanmawwy. The latter is a half-brother to 6f winner Rewaayat with Falcon Brook preferred to Tahonta and Wanted of the others.
