In view of his current progressive streak, Alnashama is sure to be popular despite topweight and the latest punishment from the assessor of a 6lb hike for a comfortable enough win at Leicester last month. However, he is now 13lb higher than when beginning his winning streak and is narrowly passed over in favour of ALEJANDRO. David O'Meara's seven-year-old gelding hasn't scored for over two years but is down to a feasible mark and the form of his Carlisle Bell second four starts ago and a recent runner-up performance at Beverley suggests he's still capable of landing a contest such as this. Valley Of Fire has proved rather frustrating since scoring on his racecourse debut at York over two years ago but does continue to threaten over this trip and could well crop up. He shaped very well at Newbury the last day, Mishaal is respected but has been sprinting, likewise Ballymore Castle who does run here off quite a tempting mark though and is not to be discounted.
