Ramon Di Loria was back to form at Carlisle with a narrow success, faces similar conditions here and has a solid claim if backing up that improvement. Refuge had been threatening to strike form too prior to obliging over course and distance and should not be inconvenienced by a 4lb rise. Four of five career wins have been delivered at this venue and he's essential shortlist material. Rock Melody and Be Proud give Jim Goldie a double shot at the target with the latter preferred but the choice is ABATE (NAP). The Nicholls gelding has suggested a win is due after going nicely on both starts this season and this drop down to five furlongs can complete the final piece in the jigsaw.
