        Verdict

        A very low-grade handicap though COLOUR CONTRAST won't get many better opportunities having been narrowly beaten at Musselburgh and Ayr. Natajack won a better handicap than this at Carlisle last summer and did slightly better at Ayr last week but Stardrifter was well beaten at the same fixture. Prancing Oscar, a winner at Wolverhampton, found 1m4f and Class 5 company too hot to handle at Catterick and this is more his trip and level. Keith Dalgleish has three entries with Quiet Moment possibly the pick though last season's victory at Ayr came on very heavy ground. Diamond Avalanche gained his first success on his 22nd start at Wolverhampton in December and has changed stables.
