A cracking renewal which features a clutch of useful three-year-old and a couple of unexposed types making their handicap debuts. Hugo Palmer doesn’t run many here so Paths Of Glory’s presence is significant with a return to easier ground sure to suit the Ffos Las winner. Beyond The Clouds has won bumpers and hurdles and got off the mark on the Flat at Ripon earlier this month. Sapa Inca has won at Newbury and Ascot this year but Lariat continues to frustrate, though looks a real mudlark. Theglasgowwarrior rarely runs a bad race and is only a pound higher than when successful over track and trip in May but this may be too far for Borodin with stablemate Doctor Cross making more appeal. Multellie won this in 2016 but last year’s winner ARCHI’S AFFAIRE is preferred as he races off the same mark and looks to have been aimed at the contest again having only run twice this term.
