A competitive northern sprint with BUNCE taken to gain revenge on Economic Crisis on recent course running. He's 3lb better off for the length and a half that separated the pair earlier this month, which was followed up by another staunch runner-up performance at Ayr. The key here could be the valuable 7lb taken off by the impressive Jack Garrity, starting to make a name for himself since moving north. Economic Crisis is in no way discounted though. She's taken a long time to drop to a viable handicap mark but will now find things tougher again after two course wins this month. However, all five career successes have arrived here and she's dangerous to ignore in her current form. Meshardal makes the shortlist on recent efforts but it would be no surprise to see him back on Fibresand before long. Ex-Irish Jumbo Steps has fair form to his name too and is respected.
