This is a very competitive handicap and Howzer Black and Ayr specialist Glasses Up would have preferred a quicker surface but Poet's Dawn won on good to soft at Beverley at the start of the season. Jump The Gun has placed twice here this year but the longer trip is an unknown. Tilsitt is in excellent form but most attention will be focused on the two Newmarket raiders with the three-year-old BASHOSH (NAP) probably the value back on Turf with Tarroob having raced mainly on the all-weather so far.
