Richard Guest appears to hold a strong hand here. Rylee Mooch has dropped to a fair mark and wasn't beaten far in a much better handicap at Newmarket last month. He looked to have a chance in the 5.20 here yesterday so has to be respected if turning up. Captain Scooby last won at Beverley off a mark of 75 and, though that was a long time ago, he's a massive 27lb lower this time. Saxonette often goes well here from this sort of mark while Bearskin would need to be seriously considered if reappearing after what looked a good opportunity in the 2.50 yesterday. SLIM CHANCE has had 11 starts since June but has remained consistent and drops slightly in class after his latest run at Epsom. Simon West has booked a 7lb claimer for the ride and this looks a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
