Dual course winner Rothesay Dancer can land this at the main expense of By The Edge while Kings College Boy's would also come into the equation but holds an engagement at Chester on Thursday evening. Fifth last week over course and distance, she travelled well in that contest before bottoming out on the ground. That is the concern where Jim Goldie's mare is concerned as she has failed to score on ground any easier than good but is a consistent sort who can be guaranteed to give her running. By The Edge in contrast to Rothesay Dancer is proven on the surface. She landed her second victory of the season at Beverley showing good toe throughout and pulling right away in the closing stages. Mr Rooney made a winning debut for his new yard on his penultimate start but found the ground against him at Ayr last time so it is difficult to envisage it being any different today. Should Kings College Boy take his place in the field he would come into calculations with a high draw also to benefit. Seven of his eight career victories have been achieved on good to firm ground which is the concern. Rothesay Dancer is selected to land course win number three here.
