Verdict

GOLD BEAU likes to race up with the pace so it wouldn't have helped that he was hampered at the start at Chelmsford four days ago. He won off a 12lb higher mark last summer and has been showing signs of a revival lately so can get the better of another course and distance winner Saxonette, not disgraced at Ayr last week. The ground may be too quick for Affectionate Lady and Pitt Rivers but Orient Sky and Chester Deelyte wouldn't be without a chance if back on song.
