A very weak contest where something might spring a surprise and perhaps HENRY HAVELOCK could be that one. The form figures of Chris Grant's charge look more like a cricket score than a racing CV, but his trainer is very shrewd and now that the colt has dropped to a lowly mark of 49 and has useful claimer Ian Brennan up we will chance him at a price in first-tiem cheekpieces. Real Desire steps up beyond 10f again and his record suggests that is not a positive, while likely favourite Short Supply may not be great value after a course and distance success last time resulted in a 5lb rise. The form of Vittachi's run here in June has bombed out and a chance is taken on Henry Havelock. (Jonathan Doidge)
