Weakest Link lost no caste in defeat in a similar contest at Redcar last month but and has to be respected but Eric Alston's gelding remains a maiden after 24 career start sand is probably best left out of calculations with a safer bet looking to be Outrageous Flirt, who is preferred to Tequila Sheila. The last mentioned has dropped to a fair mark but Karl Burke's gelding would probably prefer a softer surface so he may be best watched. Haulage Man has ground conditions to suit and has slipped to a decent mark but has given little cause for optimism in three runs this term, having missed last season. Smirfys Night would have claims if fit enough for his return, while Royal Pardon is another that remains a maiden and may struggle to give weight away all round. Quicks The Word ran better here behind Obe Bold last month and is another to consider but preference is for Outrageous Flirt, who is entitled to come on a bundle for her recent reappearance, has ground conditions to suit and has the assistance of leading rider Serena Brotherton.
Royal Pardon 6-1 (9-1) Started slowly, soon mid-division, effort over 2f out, no impression, 8th of 14, 9l behind Jellytot (8-0) at Catterick 7f mdn 0-60 (6) gf.

Quicks The Word 33-1 (10-7) Tracked leaders, ridden over 2f out, one pace, 3rd of 10, 3 1/2l behind Obe Bold (10-11) at Hamilton 6f amt hcp (6) gf in May.
Tequila Sheila (IRE) 5-1 (8-9) Mid-division and keen early, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, 7th of 12, 10l behind Tidy (9-2) at Ayr 1m hcp 0-60 (6) gd.
Outrageous Flirt (IRE) 15-2 (8-2) Held up, pushed along halfway, effort over 2f out, no impression, 5th of 10, 11l behind Rosein (9-4) at Southwell 7f fll hcp (6) fbs.

Haulage Man 33-1 (9-5) Towards rear stand side, hung right and headway over 1f out, ridden and ran on final furlong, nearest finish, 4th of 13, 2 1/2l behind Boanerges (10-0) at Hamilton 5f hcap (6) gf.
