Verdict

Most of these are running from out of the handicap including Steel Helmet, who won at Newcastle recently but has yet to score on Turf. But an apprentice’s allowance helps the cause of the Irish mare PHEBES DREAM, who returned a losing favourite at Sligo recently but will be suited by this longer trip and slower ground. Today’s distance is a worry for Three Castles, a winner over a mile at Carlisle last month, while Motahassen has failed to figure since scoring over 1m2f at Haydock. Frequency Code and King And Queen have shown little so far but can only improve now handicapping.
