A total of nine go to post for the feature event on the Hamilton card, the Mitie Mile Fillies' Stakes Handicap over the extended mile, with Southern raiders Frieda Kahlo and Amoras expected to play a prominent role. Of the pair we just prefer the latter. The John Hills inmate does have a low draw to overcome but shaped with a great deal of promise on her return to action at Epsom when coming from behind to chase home the hotpot Highland Shot. With that outing under her belt, Amoras can go one better at the expense of Frieda Kahlo who will appreciate the easier ground than she encountered at Warwick. There might be a slight doubt about her abilty at the trip however, and it might pay to hedge your bets if having a go at the placepot for instance. The one to make a note of with that in mind is Cyclonic Storm who was in great form last season and hails from the yard that won this 12 months ago with Dakota Sioux. Richard Fahey has been sending out plenty of winners over the past few days so an absence of 279 days might not be such a worry and she can make the frame behind Amoras at least.
