      Verdict

      STAR CRACKER finished with a late flourish to score over the stiff 5f at Beverley last time. This extra distance will not be a problem on that evidence and he can make a winning start in handicaps. Saltarello was only beaten a head over track and trip recently when White Vin Jan landed a hat-trick. That form looks stronger than Straightothepoint's recent efforts, though Anastazia had a shout on her earlier second in better company than this at Ascot.
